How to Find the Very Best Hotels On The Beach in San Diego

Discovering a great hotel when you’re visiting in San Diego isn’t typically quick, since you have so much choice! Certainly, you can opt for something out of the same San Diego travel guide that everyone and their cousin has owned for the last several years, but that doesn’t mean you will have a high-quality experience (actually, it’d pretty much promise a poor one!). As a substitute, it is a good idea to do a tiny bit of investigation, making use of your pal the Internet. Locals will forever know the perfect hotels in their own city, just what the best hotel rooms are, and the most popular days to visit their top parts of the city. However, you don’t need to go up to anybody you meet in the airport terminal in San Diego, demanding their hints and tips. So alternatively, we’ve created this quick listing of our 3 favorite hotels in San Diego for you. These are the ones we highly recommend to our good friends when they arrive to visit – but since we do not want you to imagine we’re really being biased, here are the opinions from Yelp.com:

1. Pacific Terrace Hotel

Loved it! It is a very nice hotel with a small, intimate feeling. I will def stay here again. We stayed in a junior suite (I found the great rate on their website under specials). We had a patio over the ocean and slept with the door open to hear the waves all night.

The rooms are decorated really nice, they have turndown service, and dont mind if you stay on the property all day the day you check out to use the pool, parking, and bathrooms.

You can walk to everything including food and shopping. I will book my next trip to SD here.

I love the architecture of this hotel. The patio area is a really nice place to throw a birthday party on a sunny weekend day. There is valet service for your guests, and the catering is really good. We brought our own cake and whatever was leftover they boxed up for us. It’s walking distance to the beach too. The staff was friendly…everyone had a great time…Happy memories…

One of my favorite classic hotels with so much history. When I stayed here my friends and I stayed in the newer towers that overlooked the ocean and the beach was right below us.Absolutley loved all the dining outlets on the beach and inside the hotel. The first night we had a nice dinner at 1500 Ocean, food was amazing. Or if you want a casual beach front experience you can also try Sheerwater and din outside. You must try the brunch over at Crown Room to end your trip. It has a titantic feel to it inside. Staff is definitley on point and obviously has been trained with the 5-Star standards. The property it self is huge and there is alot to see. We went on the haunted tour ago it was actually quite fun and informative , esp the area where they say Marylin Monroe’s ghost visits. I think everyone should visit this iconic hotel when visiting San Diego.
